1. Copyright and reference media
Canada’s Copyright Act and other applicable law protect original works, including the moral rights of authors and performers. You must have the rights or a valid legal basis to upload and process source or reference media. Analysis of an editing style does not authorize copying protected expression, music, footage, a person’s image or their voice.
2. Send a clear report
Send a notice to support@podmagi.com or to our postal address. Provide enough detail to locate and assess the content. A notice should include:
- Your name, address and email address, and your relationship to the affected rights holder where relevant.
- The work or right involved, your interest or right in it, and a clear explanation of why the identified use is unlawful.
- Exact URLs, project identifiers or other precise locations, with supporting evidence where available.
- The infringement you allege and, if known, the date and time it occurred.
- A good-faith statement that the information is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
3. Assessment and action
Canada does not use a US-style DMCA takedown procedure. Where Canada’s notice-and-notice regime applies, we forward a compliant notice to the person concerned as soon as feasible, tell you that we have done so, and keep the records the Copyright Act requires. Forwarding a notice is not a finding of infringement.
We will also assess sufficiently specific reports promptly, seek clarification where needed, and take action appropriate to the facts and applicable law. We may preserve evidence or disclose information where legally required. Where appropriate and lawful, affected users receive the reason for a restriction and an opportunity to provide relevant permissions, licences or other evidence.
4. Challenge a decision
Contact us with the decision reference, relevant material and reasons you believe the decision is incorrect. Do not resubmit unlawful material to evade restrictions. Repeated substantiated violations may result in account restrictions or termination, subject to applicable law.
